The Shandong Provincial Corps of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force and the Chinese People's Armed Police Force are an armed force of the state and an integral part of the public security organs. It is responsible for the important task of domestic security. In January 1950, the Public Security Department of the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department set up an armed branch. Later, it was changed to the armed office, which administers military education, political engineering, management, and public security brigades. The armed office was withdrawn in December 1951. In 1955, the Shandong Provincial Public Security Department set up an armed police management office. In 1958, based on the Armed Police Department of the Public Security Department and the Garrison of the Command of the Jinan Military Region, the People's Armed Police Corps of the Shandong Provincial Public Security Bureau was established. In February 1962, it was renamed the Shandong Provincial Corps of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force. Captain Feng Zhenwu, political commissar Zhang Guofeng, and second political commissar Li Chao. There are headquarters, political department, logistics department and direct group. And set up the Chinese People's Armed Police Force border defense brigade and border guard post in the coastal county. The corps unifiedly commanded the armed police units of the province. They were led by the Public Security Department in the execution of public security tasks and public security operations, and were under the unified command of the Jinan Military Region during the war. In 1963, it was changed to the Shandong Provincial Corps of the Chinese People's Public Security Force. In June 1966, the public security forces were unified and reorganized into the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Since then, the Shandong Provincial Corps and its affiliated groups, local detachments, brigades, squadrons, and outposts have been assigned to the leadership of the Jinan Military Region, the Provincial Military Region, the Military Division, and the Municipal and County Armed Forces. Over the years, the Shandong Provincial Corps has made significant contributions to the safety and security of the Shandong people.
